Cookie Policy
How IoTSamples may use necessary, preference, analytics, and advertising storage and how visitors can control it.
Last updated: 2026-07-31
Cookies are small data items a website or third-party service can store through your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and identifiers used by embedded services. This policy describes the categories IoTSamples may use.
Necessary storage
Necessary storage supports functions you request or that protect the service. Examples can include security state, session state for restricted administration, consent choices, and load-balancing or abuse-prevention data. Blocking it can prevent a requested feature from working.
Preference storage
Preference storage can remember choices such as color theme or language. The IoT planning tools themselves calculate results in the browser. The Device Comparison places its current state in the page URL rather than using a cookie.
Analytics storage
If analytics is enabled, it may measure visits, navigation, referral information, broad technical characteristics, and named tool interactions. Google Consent Mode v2 initializes analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization as denied. Optional storage should activate only after the applicable choice and a correctly configured consent platform sends an update.
Advertising storage
If advertising is introduced, advertising providers may use cookies or similar identifiers to deliver, limit, measure, or personalize ads according to their settings and your consent.
For traffic in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google AdSense should be activated only after the site operator configures Google AdSense Privacy & messaging or another Google-certified TCF consent-management platform where required. A custom banner alone is not assumed to satisfy that certification requirement.
Your choices
Available consent controls should let you accept or reject optional categories where required. You can also use browser controls to inspect, block, or delete site data. Private-browsing modes and content blockers may further limit storage.
Deleting storage can reset a theme, language, consent, or session choice. Blocking all storage can cause some requested functions to fail.
Policy updates and contact
This page will be updated when storage categories or providers materially change. Questions can be sent to hello@iotsamples.com.
